How to protect yourself from flies at home?
How to protect yourself from flies at home? Which insect repellent lamp to choose? How to catch flies?
If your windows and doors are constantly opened and are objects of attraction for flies. For example, food and your home are in an environment where there are many flies, then insect repellent lamps alone may not be enough.
A fly that has flown into a room will not always choose a lamp as if it were being attracted (as one might wish), it may also choose food or fly to another room carried by the air current, because for example it will not have time to change its trajectory carried by the air current or simply because of the bright sun during the day, it will not notice the light source of the insecticidal lamp and therefore will not fall into the light trap.
Often, insect repellent lamps are installed in the path of air flow and in a dark place where light rays do not reach. In this way, we increase the usefulness of its operation.
If we are dealing with an environment where flies are constantly entering, then we need to use additional measures.
If we want to keep the indoor environment of our homes clean and ecological, we can use sticky traps instead of chemicals. The kind that are inconspicuously attached to a window or other surface, such as a lamp, which flies often choose as a resting place. Tools that can be used, such as a sticky window fly trap
If we want flies to not enter the premises, we can preventively treat the perimeter of windows and doors with synthetic peritroids, for example. Cipper200 Simply mix 30 ml of this preparation with 1 liter of water and with a brush or a small spray bottle, treat the window and door frames from the outside and a little wider with the resulting liquid. In this way, all flies that do not enter the premises directly with the air flow, but first land on the window or door frame, will be affected by the chemical and will soon die. Surface treatment with a chemical substance, like cleaning, should be carried out once a week, although we receive information from customers that sometimes once a month is enough.
When choosing lamps, just pay attention to the area of your premises and the lamp's operating area suggested by the manufacturer, they should be the same. Also, whether you will catch small flies or large flies, because for example, electric stun lamps may not always work if a small fly flies by. If we want insects of various sizes to be caught, it is better to choose insect-attracting lamps with a sticky surface, to which insects will simply stick. The disadvantage is that you will have to change the sticky surface. For a home environment, these criteria are enough when choosing insecticidal lamps. All that remains is to choose the appearance of the lamp to match the interior of the house. Of course, this is not necessary.
